Recent announcements by Fujitsu Australia have prompted questions to Nava about our plans for the terrestrial build between Perth and Melbourne.

The emergence of new builds on the route and the changed market climate has combined to make it more attractive for Nava to acquire its broadband links on the Perth - Melbourne leg of the project.

This is the same rationale Nava used in relation to our original decision not to build terrestrially between Melbourne and Sydney.

We are presently finalising these arrangements and expect to be able to confirm our final network configuration in the coming weeks.

Whilst the economic conditions are tough this has presented several opportunities to enhance the project and we are pleased to have the continued support of our investors and Fujitsu Ltd.
